Program + Speakers

All sessions are online.

  • Dr George Cho, ND CEP, Naturopathic Doctor, Pathways Lifestyle Medicine Clinics

Through His end-time prophet, God called Adventists to establish sanitariums outside every city. Such institutions, done right, would be one of the most effective means of reaching people. Unfortunately we are clearly far from fulfilling this call. Join Dr Cho as he shares why we can no longer delay starting sanitarium (or lifestyle centre/immersion) work.

  • Dr Joyce Choe, MD, MPH, Ophthalmologist and Medical Doctor, Years Restored Lifestyle Center, Founder of Med Missionary

Mercy Ballard, Founder of Years Restored Lifestyle Center

Years Restored Lifestyle Center is a 57-acre home-like lifestyle center with a special emphasis on helping people with digestive and autoimmune conditions heal using natural remedies and lifestyle change. Join Dr Joyce Choe as she shares about the power of lifestyle medicine immersions and some tips for those of us just getting started.

  • Dr Scott Grivas MD, Physician, Wildwood Lifestyle Center / Founder, A Pattern Health Retreat

Dr Grivas has served as a physician at Wildwood’s lifestyle program for many years as well as leading his own health program in Missouri called A Pattern Health Retreat. In this session, he shares his wealth of experience on starting and conducting lifestyle center work.

  • Dave Fielder, Author and historian

The history of Dr John Harvey Kellogg and Battle Creek Sanitarium is a lesson book for those of us today who wish to start successful sanitarium work without repeating the errors of the past. In this session, noted author and historian Dave Fiedler highlights key lessons relevant to the present.

  • David Fam, President and Founder, Aenon Institute and Healthcare

David Fam is the founder and president of Aenon Institute, a pioneering lifestyle center in Malaysia. In this session, you’ll learn the incredible story of Aenon’s founding and important lessons we can learn as we seek to start similar institutions.

  • Dr John Kelly MD MPH FACLM, Founding President, ACLM

In 2020, the Village SDA Church in Berrien Springs, Michigan partnered with Dr John Kelly to hold an innovate church-based community lifestyle medicine immersion program. In this session, join Dr Kelly as they share how the program started, its impact and some lessons for others who may wish to start a similar program at their local church.

  • Daniel Cho MPH, President, Lifestyle Is Medicine
Bailey Muller CPT, Exercise Director, Lifestyle Is Medicine
Mike and Rene Lemon, Speaker-Director, It Is Written Canada

In the fall of 2021, a group of Adventist doctors, nutritionists, massage therapist, pastor, and other health professionals, students and volunteers teamed up to launch a brand new lifestyle medicine immersion in Ontario, Canada. In this session, you’ll learn about One Week In Paradise and important lessons on how you too can start sanitarium work in your community. Pr Mike Lemon and Rene Lemon from It Is Written Canada will also be sharing from a pastor’s perspective on helping start lifestyle programs and how to effectively integrate spirituality into the program.

  • Alain Mugisha, Business Manager, Paradise Fields

Success does not happen in a vaccuum. A successful sanitarium program or institution depends on a network of entities, churches and initiatives that will work synergistically to effectively reach souls for Christ. In this session, we’ll learn the blueprint outlined in the Spirit of Prophecy on how to establish this network and hear about how this worked in the recently launched One Week In Paradise program.

Adventist Lifestyle Centres:
Fulfilling the Vision

An online conference

The Lord, through His last-day messenger Ellen G White, gave a very special and particular call for Adventist doctors and health professionals to establish sanitariums (or lifestyle centres) outside every major city. These special institutions were to use lifestyle-based natural therapies to help people heal and point them to Jesus as their healer and savior.

We are currently far from fulfilling this bold but necessary call. This event brings together Adventist health professionals, businessmen, pastors and laypeople who have a passion to see the vision of lifestyle centre work fulfilled in Canada. If this is your passion and interest, please join us!
